Masjid e Chowk is one of the oldest and biggest masjids in the city of Hyderabad. Mughal emperor Aurangzeb completed the construction in 1764. It took 47 years to come up as the magnificent edifice we see today. Like many other ancient buildings in the city, the mosque is a granite giant with awe-inspiring innards. The main hall of the mosque is 35 feet high, 75 feet wide and 40 feet long, big enough to accommodate two thousand worshipers at a time.
It is Adjacent to Mecca Masjid and is Located on the cross road Behind which explains the name of the mosque.
